To make friends with her new coworkers, Amanda invited some of them out for drinks after work. After a few happy hours, she and one of those colleagues, Matt, realized they’d prefer to hang out by themselves. They started dating and moved in together a year later. When Amanda was stressed out from work nearly three years after that, Matt surprised her with a massage at her favorite spa. The Bride Amanda Revere, 35, producer The Groom Matt Craig, 28, motion graphics designer The Date June 13 Once she was back home, Matt told her to pack an overnight bag; they were heading to the St. Paul Hotel. They followed up dinner at a cozy French bistro with a moonlit walk by the Mississippi. Just when it seemed things couldn’t get any better, they did: Matt proposed when the two returned to their hotel room. The couple threw an intimate dinner party–style wedding for 56 just 10 months later.

Green table numbers matched the color of the succulents that decorated the tables. At the end of the night, guests took the potted plants with them.
For a quirky twist on the guest book, friends and family typed messages to the bride and groom on an antique typewriter that Matt owned.
The couple topped off their cupcake tower with tiny figurines which were designed to wear the same formalwear as the newlyweds.
The bride’s favorite flower, dogwood blossoms, decorated the side of a wooden square for a modern, organic invite.
By keeping the floral arrangements short and simple, the couple achieved the intimate, dinner-party vibe they were after. Having the reception in a space with an open kitchen also helped!
A judge performed the couple’s simple ceremony under an arbor that was already in place in the park.
