Food was no joke for this pair of Windy City residents, and they were anything but disappointed by Hotel Arista’s standout selection of mouthwatering eats. “We knew we wanted our menu to be different from normal wedding food, so we selected options that we loved and thought were unique,” Jamie says. Guests nibbled on macadamia-encrusted shrimp, crispy pork belly and Brie and bacon jam crostini during cocktail hour and indulged in flat-iron steak, herb-rubbed chicken breast with hunter sauce, and roasted seasonal vegetable stock with red beans, tomato puree and fresh herbs at dinner. The pair even surprised guests with a few late-night snacks to keep the party going, including brick-oven pizzas; Kobe beef, brisket, pulled pork and portabella mushroom sliders; and a taco bar.
