Missouri Rustic Charm Blended With Grecian Romance at This Couple's Wedding

Lauren kept the décor minimal for her wedding to John, but there was one thing with which she went wild: flowers. “I tend to be subdued, so I wanted a subdued wedding as well,” Lauren says. “In the end, it was a floral daydream. Everything had to have flowers on it, so I went crazy.” Lauren carried peonies, anemones, snapdragons and roses, and the cake got the same treatment. The pair even said their vows under an arbor draped in hydrangeas and eucalyptus. Lauren and John filled The Forest Event Center with ample amounts of greenery, including evergreen runners, as well as tall arrangements of pastel-colored anemones and roses. In light of the botanical theme, guests took home pots of miniature succulents. “I couldn’t go without those,” Lauren says. Beyond blooms, different antiques topped tables, including sets of sparkling gold scales, regal busts and candles.
