Minnesota-Watercolor-Themed Wedding Invitations

When designing the invitations, Danielle—a watercolor artist and designer—tried to communicate the feelings she has when at her family’s cabin. She painted lily pads, (reminiscent of a small area of Mitchell Lake) and created a custom logo of two loons. For out-of-town guests, she made a map of the lake and surrounding area, with a list of favorite things to do. She even worked with a printer to find the perfect paper so it would feel of a watercolor painting. “It was the most important design I've done,” she says. “I had so much fun with it.”
