The pair headed up to his grandmother's cottage on Lake Huron (in Canada) on a dark, cold evening in November. As Wally set a fire to warm them up, Meghan was putting on additional clothes to ward off the chill in the air. Turns out she didn't need the layers -- things heated up rather quickly when she heard Wally say, I have something for you, and turned around to find him on bended knee. I realized immediately what was going on and began to cry, remembers Meghan. A nervous Wally asked her to marry him, which made her cry that much harder. It was a perfect and romantic weekend, says Meghan. They awoke the next morning to the first snow of the season.
