With the help of her co-workers and family, Meghan Corman planned to marry Tom Kasperski in a Louisville art gallery accented with tons of white hydrangea and a palette of cornflower blue and silver. The Bride Meghan Anne Corman, 28, front office manager for Hyatt Regency Louisville The Groom Thomas Edward Kasperski II, 32, sous chef for Hyatt Regency Louisville The Date September 17 Meghan and Tom met in history class while attending Harper College in Palatine, IL. After a few years of dating, Tom’s plan for a tableside proposal at Morton's, The Steakhouse got moved up a bit when a romantic opportunity presented itself before the couple even left the house. As Meghan and Tom were getting ready to leave for Meghan’s birthday dinner, she realized she had forgotten to put on some jewelry. Tom asked me if I planned on putting any on...I thought it strange at the time, ran upstairs and put on a necklace, she explains. When I came back down he told me he had something else to go with that jewelry, got down on one knee in the kitchen, and proposed. Through her job at the Hyatt Regency Louisville, Meghan was able to gather an army of help to assist her in planning her silver and cornflower blue day. Mark Stone, director of catering, did a lot of the planning for us in terms of what the end result turned out to be, says Meghan. I left a lot of it in his trustful hands. In the end, the couple got the laid-back day they envisioned.

The Reception Decor
Two of Meghan's trusted co-workers volunteered to make the reception's piece de resistance: the three-tier confection was topped with fresh flowers and included a bottom later of chocolate cake with raspberry, a second layer of chocolate cake with strawberry, and a top tier of yellow cake with pina colada icing. A luscious marshmallow-flavored fondant covered each tier, which was embellished with fondant beads, and fresh rose petals and roses, hydrangea, and tulips.
To coordinate with the wedding day's color palette, Meghan's three bridesmaids and maid of honor wore strapless, cornflowers blue gowns that were accented with beading similar to the bride's gown.
Meghan carried a classic bouquet of pure white peonies, white roses, and glossy lemon leaves. Her bridesmaids walked down the aisle with white hydrangeas, light pink tulips, stargazer lilies, and dark pink tulips with glossy lemon leaves.
Meghan and Tom exchanged vows in a quaint rustic chapel, replete with beautiful stained-glass windows, small wooden pews, and elegant stone work. On the grounds, a small pond served as a naturalistic backdrop for pictures.
The first time Meghan tried on her Maggie Sottero gown, she fell in love. The strapless, diamond-white satin ensemble featured an asymmetrical waist and corset back with a sweep train. For added sparkle, the bodice and skirt were trimmed in bugle beads, while the bride carried a beaded purse and stole.
