Dating their senior year of high school, Megann and Guthrie parted ways for college. When they both ended up back in Minneapolis eight years later, they knew they were meant for each other. The pair eventually talked about marriage and from then on, Megann expected a proposal at every romantic moment. The Bride Megann Hess, 29, actuary and event planner The Groom Guthrie Kellom, 28, owner of a mortgage brokerage The Date May 25 For Megann's birthday, Guthrie planned a romantic evening. When he didn't propose, she was disappointed but -- Gutherie insisted the timing had to be perfect. The next morning the timing was right and Gutherie dropped to one knee and asked Megann to marry him. Soon they were planning a white and green ceremony in the town where they fell in love.

The couple wed in front of a floral canvas created from more than 2,300 white carnations and green Kermit mums.
The green and white programs introduced the wedding party as well as the four significant perspectives of Megann and Gutherie's wedding.
Three green candles, a cylinder of limes, and a vase full of golf balls -- a tribute to Gutherie's golf skills -- decorated the unity candle table.
Guests sipped on two cocktails -- Rangpur gin and tonics and mojitos -- along with beer and wine. Fresh limes displayed the hand-written menu.
The couple wanted a lounge that felt like a living room. They brought in two white couches, a coffee table and green and white pillows. The ceiling was covered in more than 150 white paper lanterns.
Simple and chic, the bride wore a strapless Melissa Sweet trumpet gown with an asymmetrical hem, while Gutherie donned a classic black suit with a sweater vest and black and white striped tie.
Megann wanted the cake to be simple and chic and be true to their theme -- the three-tiered white and green cake mimicked the design of the programs and was topped with a K.
Viburnum, parrot tulips, ranunculus, roses, hypericum berries, and camellia in white and green were wrapped with a ribbon printed with the couple's wedding quote: Don't take a whole day to recognize sunshine.
Each of the eight bridesmaids wore a strapless, white cocktail-length dress and added a personal element with their own green shoes and necklaces.
