Mari-joy & John in Kingston, MA

Mari-joy and John chose a palette of seasonally perfect gold and cranberry for their warm and welcoming autumn wedding. The Bride Mari-joy Eisele The Groom John O'Leary The Date October 30 Anyone who thinks they’re good at picking out gifts for people needs to talk to Mari-joy’s parents -- they picked out a husband for their daughter. The two were helping Mari-joy, now a 29-year-old fourth grade teacher move into her new classroom one fall when they met another teacher at the school, John, now 33. They introduced the two, who got to know each other (and flirted) over the course of two terms at the public school. On the last day of school -- after John had accepted a job with the fire department -- he asked Mari-joy out on a date. Love blossomed, and John, a renowned practical joker, proposed in classic prankster style on Thanksgiving eve: Mari-joy opened the black velvet box he handed her to find it was empty as John, laughing, took the engagement ring from his pocket.
