Maggie & Rob: A Traditional Wedding in Covington, KY
The old adage that age is only a number certainly rings true for Maggie and Rob. Rob caught Maggie’s eye at a couple’s shower for mutual friends, and she decided to take a chance on a slightly younger man. “At first I thought he was too young but soon realized that the age difference didn’t matter,” she says. When plans for a romantic dinner at the famed Beringer Mansion fell through (foiling a carefully mapped out proposal), Maggie had no idea why Rob was so upset. “I suggested we go back to our bed-and-breakfast and enjoy a bottle of wine at the inn’s gazebo,” she says. While she went to their room to freshen up, Rob sprung into action and scattered a trail of rose petals all the way from their room to the gazebo. “I followed the petals and found Rob down on one knee,” says Maggie. They married over a year later in an autumn-inspired celebration.
