Lynn & Mike: A Traditional Wedding in Wellesley, MA

One Friday evening, Lynn was headed home from the gym when she decided to make a quick detour to see if her friend Catherine was at a neighborhood restaurant. She spied Catherine right away but was surprised to see her sitting with a group of guys, one of whom was Mike. There was an empty seat across from Mike, and Lynn learned that, though he was French, he’d lived in the States for the past year and worked just a mile away from where she lived. When the night ended, a few of them made plans to meet at the beach the next day, where Lynn and Mike really hit it off. A year later, after having his first two proposal plans foiled, Mike got down on one knee in front of a pajama-clad Lynn on a Sunday night. “She said oui!” Mike says.
