Lush Greenery Filled Every Part of This Romantic Wedding at Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, Florida
Jordyn and Kimilee "knew from the start that we wanted a floral-focused wedding," says Kimilee of the couple's garden-inspired wedding in Orlando, Florida. "We wanted it to look like you were outside in a garden...while being inside. That's what's so cool about the Gaylord Palms; it looks like you're outside in the open, greenhouse-style atrium. The colors were navy and blush pink, with hints of ivory. Much of the decor was carried by our flowers... we wanted flowers everywhere and the flowers definitely stole the show. The ceremony backdrop was literally made of flowers and these floating candle votives."
Beyond filling the day with ample botanical decorations, Jordyn and Kimilee made sure to layer in personalized elements to their wedding at Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, Florida. "We included some personalized items like face-masks, tissue backs for 'happy tears,' a polaroid guest book, and of course, temporary tattoos with our faces on them!" recalls Kimilee. She goes on to share that the couple "wanted a live band for the reception, and much of my family is Hispanic, so we booked a modern Latin band. They were incredible and had everyone up and dancing. It was a fun way to introduce my wife's side of the family to some of our Spanish cultures."
Looking back on their romantic, greenery-filled wedding day, the couple encourages to-be-weds currently in the throes of wedding planning to "make small decisions together while planning. Even if one of you is more into than the other, having those elements that you chose together is really special. Include details that are significant to you. Don't worry about what anyone else says, it's your day."
