Though their wedding date later proved especially fortuitous (three days before the wedding, the Sox had their first World Series victory in 86 years), Lisa and Kevin initially chose it simply because fall is their favorite time of year. The two decided to catch lunch together at a spot where they could watch their favorite team play, and, as Lisa says, just five hours later neither of us could even remember which team they'd played! Years later, after a weekend spent Christmas shopping in Boston, Kevin pulled over at that same restaurant. Lisa wasn't sure what he was doing until he came around to her side of the car, opened her door, and dropped to one knee. The two soon began planning a Red Sox–theme wedding.
