Lisa & George: A Modern Wedding in San Francisco, CA

Bold colors and graphic elements were the key to this unique San Francisco wedding. The Bride Lisa Vargas, 32, senior marketing manager The Groom George Rogers, 31, senior project manager The Date April 8 Lisa and George's relationship definitely started off on the right foot. The two met when Lisa hired an advertising company where George worked. I was his client, and he did everything I wanted him to do, Lisa says. It was love at first sight! The pair built a strong professional relationship, which soon became personal. Under the guise of a 'friendly' meal, I asked Lisa out to a charming cafe in the Fillmore district, George says. On a trip to Costa Rica to celebrate three years of dating, Lisa overheard George making reservations at the hotel's restaurant. In fact, George had been working with the resort for months to arrange a romantic dinner in a private room perched over the Pacific, decorated with tulips (Lisa's favorite flower) flown in just for the occasion. After dinner, the two exchanged anniversary presents, and George gave Lisa an iPod (a gift she'd really wanted). But when she opened the box, she found something even better: an engagement ring. The two were married a year later in a historic chapel in The Presidio.
