Lindsey and Ryan took a leap of faith when Ryan called Lindsey for a blind date. He picked her up at her parents’ house, and they spent a conversation-filled evening (mostly from Lindsey’s side of the table) at Johnny Carino’s in Grand Rapids. When they returned home Ryan sold his cherished motorcycle to purchase Lindsey’s engagement ring. Two months after the trip, during a picnic overlooking Kettle Lake, Ryan took out the scrapbook that Lindsey had filled with memories of their courtship. It seemed like a normal reminiscing moment as they flipped through the book, until Lindsey got to the last page, which said, “Will you marry me?”
