When Lindsay Wadler asked a friend of Jonathan Hyman's to be her date to a sorority party, Jonathan was jealous -- but not for long. As soon as he had the chance, he asked her to be his date for a fraternity party -- a choice he now describes as the best decision of my life. THE BRIDE Lindsay Wadler, 27, consultant THE GROOM Jonathan Hyman, 28, attorney THE DATE May 29 Years later, Jonathan surprised Lindsay with a Saturday morning proposal -- and an impromptu getaway to Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin to celebrate their engagement before the planning set in.

The Music
Everyone indulged in the delectable wedding cake, which was decorated with a lace-fondant trim perfectly matched to the bride's gown.
For an intimate ceremony setting, the florist hung fabric -- from floor to ceiling -- to create a smaller, square room in the middle of the ballroom where Lindsay and Jonathan exchanged their vows.
Lindsay and Jonathan kicked off the evening's festivities with What a Wonderful World, the same song Jonathan had played when he proposed. Every time I hear that song I still get chills! Lindsay says. A spotlight with the silhouette of their new monogram followed the couple across the floor.
The Bridal Bouquet
Lindsay chose a strapless, Vera Wang gown in ivory silk organza with embroidered alencon lace insets. At such a swanky black-tie affair, it's only natural that the bride was dressed to the nines, from her heirloom diamond earrings right down to her Jimmy Choos.
The elaborate formal wedding appeared to come together so effortlessly, guests likely believed there was never cause for worry. Lavish decorations in ivory and pale peach, the wedding colors, transformed a ballroom at the Houstonian: It felt like you were walking into a dream when you entered the room, Lindsay says.
