Leslie and met at a rooftop party thrown by mutual friends in Tribeca. They exchanged phone numbers that evening and had their first date the following week. The Bride Leslie Adelman, 29, designer jewelry sales The Groom Jeremy Perelman, 30, hedge fund analyst The Date September 16 When Jeremy proposed, it was in front of Leslie's West Village apartment: Jeremy covered the walk with rose petals and proposed on the sidewalk, recalls Leslie. After a yes, the couple went to Brooklyn's River Café, where both of their families were waiting for them to celebrate. For their Brooklyn Museum wedding, the couple hired a wedding planner to help pull together all the little details, including a late-night visit from the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory.

The couple enjoyed their first dance to the Eagles' Love Will Keep Us Alive.
The groomsmen wore clusters of sweet-smelling freesia on their lapels.
A sophisticated touch was provided by Jeremy's aunt, who handmade lace bows that were tied onto the dinner chairs of the bride and groom.
Ivory in color and contained in individual envelopes, the escort cards were calligraphed by Deborah Delaney.
Decorated cookies were the perfect sweet ending to the celebration.
Leslie had two lily of the valley bouquets -- one was for photos and the other forthe actual wedding.
The ceremony took place in the Rodin Gallery, where guest chairs and the huppah were set up in the middle of the sculptures, and the aisle runner featured the couple's initials.
The bridesmaids wore ivory satin floor-length dresses by Amsale. Each bridesmaid carried a bouquet of white roses and lamb’s ear.
Presented in large crystal candelabra, the centerpieces contained ivory roses, hydrangeas, and orchids.
The Traditions
Sitting on a table covered with five rows of gardenias, the yellow butter cake was filled with apricot, lemon, and vanilla with chocolate adn caramel flavors and iced with white buttercream frosting.
In addition to the large urn overflowing with white delphiniums, ivory and white roses, and PeeGee hydrangeas, gardenias surrounded the base in three separate urns so that a soothing fragrance greeted guests as they entered the room.
