Leslie and Dave met while both were undergrads at Johns Hopkins University -- Dave was a senior and Leslie a freshman. The Bride Leslie Swallow, 26, co-owner of a restaurant The Groom David (Dave) Silverglide, 29, co-owner of a restaurant The Date April 28 Years later, Dave proposed to Leslie while they were hiking in Sedona, Arizona, and the two soon began planning a wedding at the groom's parents' home in Florida. Planning long-distance proved to be even more challenging when their wedding planner fell through a month before the wedding. We stayed very calm and acted quickly to find a replacement planner who was wonderful and redid the entire event, Leslie says. With a positive outlook and plenty of hard work, the pair managed to pull off a spectacular celebration on Captiva Island.
