Leah & Eric: A Traditional Wedding in East Lansing, MI
Here's a story for the grandkids: We met in a car on the way to a dirty frat house. When former Western Michigan University student Leah and her friends were looking for something to do one night, they decided to visit some guys one of them knew who lived in a home that was once a fraternity house. Eric was the lucky guy who got to pick them up. The Bride Leah Panici,25, registered nurse The Groom Eric Wendling, 25, design engineer The Date July 5 Leah and Eric hit it off and when he drove the girls home after the party, he asked for Leah's phone number. The next night, Leah went over to his house for another party and then ended the night at Steak n' Shake where they made it official. Three years into their relationship, Eric was living in Columbus, Ohio, and Leah was in Lansing. He had promised to come to her grandparents’ cabin in Jackson for her birthday celebration, but called that evening to say he might not make it. Little did she know he had a plan (and her parents were in on it)! When she returned from dinner with her family that night, Eric was waiting at the cabin. They took a ride on a pontoon boat on the lake, and as the sun set, Eric proposed. They planned a sweet summer wedding with a bright orange, pink and green color scheme.
