Mark proposed to Laura while they were on a hike at one of Laura's favorite spots in Minnesota (her home state), Gooseberry Falls. While Laura was busy taking pictures of the falls, Mark got down on one knee and surprised Laura when she turned around. The Bride: Laura Saxe, 31, academic advisor at Southern New Hampshire University The Groom: Mark Beaudoin, 33, attorney The Date: September 8 Sunflowers served as the inspiration for Mark and Laura's rustic lodge wedding. During the ceremony the couple watered a tree with water from Lake Superior and Squam Lake (each significant to their childhoods).
