LaParis Phillips of Brooklyn Blooms Painting Flowers

As soon as Elizabeth and Joab got engaged, she began to assemble her vendor squad—and did so thoughtfully. "I wanted to intentionally hire as many women and people of color as possible," Elizabeth says. "We are a multicultural couple, and I love working with women, so I had those specifics in mind." To find her dream team, Elizabeth made the rounds on pro-related Facebook groups. "After seeing LaParis's portfolio, which was full of Afro-centric designs, I knew I wanted that for my wedding," Elizabeth says. "The greenery served as a multicultural accent and brought those African vibes."
