Kristy & Jason: A Fall Wedding in Detroit, MI

On a cold December evening, Kristy Rickard and Jason Conti got engaged just before a romantic dinner at The Lark restaurant. They knew right away that they were not going to choose a traditional wedding setting. We wanted a unique environment, a change from the country club wedding, says Kristy. Their choice certainly fit the bill. Since I was marrying an avid University of Michigan football fan, I let the football schedule pick the date for us, explains Kristy. October 20th happened to fall on a week when the Wolverines were off, and Jason approved. The wedding site was reserved by the end of January, and the bride, who describes herself as organized to a fault, had the rest of the details finished in short order.
