When Kimberly and Joel started out as roommates, they didn’t expect to end up as husband and wife. The two met in 2007 when Joel moved to North Carolina from California. Their first “date” was a trip to the animal shelter to look at cats and dogs. After Kimberly moved out, Joel started spending more and more time at her new place. That’s when they decided to become permanent roomies. It became even more permanent after six weeks of dating!
