On June 20, 2000, the United States Navy's coastal mine hunter, the USS Kingfisher, pulled into Hart Plaza in Detroit. On board was United States Naval Officer, Lt. Jeff Daudert. That evening, the local television news station, WXYZ-TV, broadcast the weather report from the ship, and Jeff met meteorologist Kimberly Ray Adams. They had lunch a few days later, and, says Kim, We have been together ever since. THE BRIDE Kimberly Ray Adams THE GROOM Jeff Daudert THE DATE June 17 Seven months later, the couple flew to Paris. On New Year's Eve, at the top of the Eiffel Tower, Jeff surprised Kim with a tiny Tiffany-blue ring box. We started planning our wedding on the elevator ride down from the Eiffel Tower, laughs Kim. They wanted to be married as close to their one-year anniversary as possible - which left only five months to plan. Everyone told me I needed at least one year, says Kim, but within two weeks I had booked the church, the reception site, the florist, and the photographer.
