Native Houstonite Kim met Jason through a local dating site called Houston Connect. Since Jason had just relocated from Louisiana due to a job, he decided to give the website a try, and that’s where Kim spotted him. “I don’t know what drew me in, but I decided to contact him,” she says. After a few weeks of talking online and over the phone, the two decided to meet in person. Jason took Kim back to the site of their first date -- a coffee bar they frequent -- and then to a local park. While appearing to walk around casually, Jason was actually guiding Kim to a special spot with a view of the entire park. “I had no idea he was going to do it then,” Kim says. Just two-and-a-half months later, the two said “I do.”

For Kim and Jason’s lunch reception, tables were adorned with small, bouquet-style centerpieces of red and cream-colored roses. The vases sat atop mirrors surrounded by votive candles.

Kim and Jason opted for a chocolate wedding cake -- the bride’s favorite flavor. The three round tiers were covered in white icing and topped with a bow.
Kim and Jason married in an outdoor ceremony at noon that took place in the hotel’s courtyard area, surrounded by beautiful greenery. “It was such a nice space that we didn’t add any extra decorations,” explains the bride.
