On the third day of studying abroad in Jerusalem, Kelly Williams met Daniel Ramot on a school-sponsored field trip. I knew the night I met him that he was the man I would spend the rest of my life with, Kelly says. While they were living in San Francisco, Daniel got down on one knee and proposed to Kelly.

The Bridesmaids Looks
The wedding ceremony took place at Congregation Emanu El, the synagogue Kelly attended growing up. It has always been important for me to be married there, by my rabbi, Kelly explains. The couple followed traditional Jewish customs, and Kelly asked a number of women important to her to give her a flower as she walked down the aisle, so she had a full bouquet when she reached the altar.
To create a relaxed and easygoing atmosphere, Kelly and Daniel picked a Sunday afternoon: A Saturday night black-tie affair was not for us.
