After years of dating and a proposal, the couple moved to California where Kayla and David hosted a wedding near their new home. David and I had completely different ideas about the location, but when we saw Rancho Las Lomas, the great debate was over, Kayla says. An added bonus was the ranch's private exotic animal zoo. On one of their first meetings with their wedding coordinator, she complimented Kayla on an arrangement she’d made that featured peacock feathers. It set the wheels in motion for all of us, says Kayla. We wanted to play up the idea of the animals, but not go too over-the-top with it. A violet and olive palette set their nature-chic style.
