New Yorkers Katy and Andrew returned to the Telluride resort where they first met for a spectacular black-tie affair infused with bold colors. The Bride Kathleen (Katy) Kingsford The Groom Andrew Weber The Date July 17 A massage therapist and entrepreneur Katy, 26, needed time to rest her aching hands one spring, so for a change of pace she took up a friend’s offer to work as an event coordinator at a conference at The Wyndham Peaks Resort and Golden Door Spa in Telluride. About the same time in New York, Andrew, 29, who works in finance, found out that his boss wouldn’t be speaking at that conference, but he would be. And when the two met, Katy says, “it was love at first sight.” A fiery romance ensued that eventually led this Manhattan couple back to the place where it all began—their wedding took place at the resort almost three and a half years later.

Massive round arrangements of veronica, hydrangea, roses, bells of Ireland, tulips, amaranthus, spider mums, stock, cockscomb, lilies, and more sat atop tall silver flutes on the candlelit tables.
The green hue of the floor-length, A-line bridesmaid dresses provided the jumping-off point for Katy and Andrew’s wedding theme.
Katy wore a satin empire-waist gown by Amarildine that she complemented with a three-strand antique pearl and diamond necklace (“A gift from the bride to the bride,” she jokes).
Katy carried a bouquet of white calla lilies, while her maids toted a combo of white and apple-green roses. The flower girl picked up even more color, with a crown in purple and hot pink—the same colors used on the floral collar for Henri (the “best beagle”).
The four-tier white cake featured a different flavored filling in each tier: Chocolate, lemon, raspberry, and blackberry. Green frosting and pink roses adorned the mellifluous confection.
Katy and Andrew exchanged vows on the grassy terrace beside the resort, before a large iron arch covered with flowers and a view of the San Juan Mountains.
