Denver-based attorneys Katie and Moshe didn’t have much free time for wedding planning, but with plenty of help from Katie’s mom (“an incredibly talented designer”), all of the details came together beautifully. Monday morning, Katie speculated about her impending engagement to her coworkers. Her friends acted quickly and emailed Moshe to let him know that if he was planning a proposal, she was onto him. Moshe cancelled their plans, claiming he’d forgotten a friend’s birthday that night. Then he arranged for her to be away all day Saturday instead, and when she came home and found their condo filled with candles and rose petals, she couldn’t have been more surprised. It didn’t stop there: Katie found new surprises in every room. She uncovered a pashmina shawl and a note that said, “Change of plans, put this on and meet me upstairs.” When she made it up to their rooftop deck, Moshe was waiting with a beautiful custom-designed ring.
