After spending a cold January day goofing around at Keystone Mountain, Jason Wonch surprised his girlfriend, Katie Kimble, with tickets for the gondola ride and dinner at a mountaintop restaurant. THE BRIDE Katie Kimble THE GROOM Jason Wonch THE DATE August 17 Once there, they were seated beside a fireplace and treated to an exquisite five-course meal -- the kind where each plate is served under a proper silver lid. When Katie found two roses and an engagement ring under the lid of her final course, it was a perfect ending to both the meal and the day.

Eight months after the proposal, on the same date of Katie's parents' 34th anniversary, 200 guests joined Katie and Jason as they exchanged vows at Westbrooke Church, which the bride had attended while growing up.
Katie's seven bridesmaids, lucky to have a considerate bride, wore their own black dresses. I gave no guidelines other than I wanted them to feel beautiful in whatever dress they chose, says Katie. I wanted the girls to individually look their best, and when they were all combined together they looked amazing! To unify their look, Katie's aunt crafted black and amethyst beaded choker-length necklaces for them.
After the ceremony, the wedding party and their spouses joined Katie and Jason on a Kansas City-style trolley decorated with white balloons and crepe paper. As they caroused around town, they drank champagne and stopped at landmarks including the J.C. Nichols Memorial Fountain, and photographer Kelly Jackson snapped away.
