Katie & Erik: A Blue Wedding in Milwaukee, WI
Though Katie Gaber and Erik Kass both spent time studying at the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh, and even knew many of the same people, it wasn’t until Katie had transferred to Milwaukee and Erik had graduated that they met. Years later, Erik realized he couldn’t wait any longer to propose to Katie. He cooked her favorite dinner, and as they sat down to eat, Katie noticed her plate had a message on it. They both have the same favorite color, light blue, so the choice was easy. With two key decisions in place, wedding planning came together smoothly with plenty of help from family and friends. The couple’s florist helped them select a few complementary hues -- green and orange -- to incorporate subtly into just a few of the details, punching up the blue palette. And as soon as the couple laid eyes on the Wisconsin Club, they knew it was the perfect place for their reception -- an elegant site conveniently located right downtown.
