West Virginian Katie had just relocated to Florida, which explains why she got hopelessly lost trying to find a church to attend near her new home. She wound up arriving late to services, and slipped into the middle of the back pew, which was where she spotted Brian. The Bride Katie Lynn Morris, 24, kindergarten teacher The Groom Brian Garth, 38, software and web-based developer/programmer The Date September 30 The two didn't formally meet until a few months later. Brian had just moved into a new apartment, so Katie decided to bring him a housewarming gift -- a batch of homemade cookies. He then took her out to dinner to say thank you, and soon the two were an item. A few months later, the couple had finished a long day of apartment hunting for Katie. She was upset after a fruitless search, until Brian finally said, Why are we looking for a home just for you? I want you to live with me forever. Will you marry me?

The Favors
Katie created the favors herself, jars of homemade apple butter. It's Brian's favorite, and something I traditionally made with my grandmother and extended family each year, she says. She attached a tag that featured the couple’s names and the date, as well as the slogan Spread Love, using pink satin ribbon.
Katie and Brian stood below their guests on a flagstone area for the ceremony. At the conclusion, their guests showered them with rose petals from above.
One of the tables held hot tea and coffee served in antique teapots, and tea cookies iced in the wedding colors and decorated with Katie and Brian’s initials.
The Couple
Guests wrote wedding wishes for Katie and Brian on pieces of card stock in the wedding colors, which were placed in a jar. At the entryway guests also picked up pink satin fans and bags of rose petals to toss at the ceremony’s conclusion.
