Dan managed to surprise Kate with a proposal by keeping his hands full. Dan and Kate were checking into a ski resort when Dan declined the bellhop’s offer to help carry their bags. When they reached their room, Dan asked Kate to help get the keys out of his cargo pants pocket since his hands were occupied with the luggage. “When I reached in, I discovered the ring box!” Kate says. The two soon started planning a wedding that celebrated the city of San Francisco.
