Karin & Bill: A Traditional Wedding in White Plains, NY

Karin Gomes and William (Bill) Corcoran met not unlike many other couples -- through work. Karin and Bill first crossed paths on a large building project in Manhattan in which Karin was in charge of purchasing all of the furniture and Bill took care of getting all of the items into the building. “We spoke and saw each other every workday for five months straight,” Karin explains. While admiring the ocean from their hotel balcony in Ocean City, Maryland, Bill asked Karin if she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him, before presenting her with a ring he had custom-designed. “It was exactly what I would have picked out myself,” Karin says. The couple married a year later in an informal ceremony in White Plains.
