He’d just started a new job and was headed upstairs when he looked across the elevator and spotted Karen, a senior staff accountant. Though he couldn’t work up the nerve to talk to her then, he wooed her via office email and finally took a stroll to her desk to introduce himself. They went to an ‘80s bar and dance club on their first date, and they quickly realized that they not only shared the same musical tastes but the same dancing skills as well. “After dancing for hours we decided we didn’t want the night to end, so we went to the beach and walked and talked for a few more hours,” says David. After their marathon first date, they finally parted ways, and the very next morning David called Karen to invite her out for breakfast.
