Matt and Julie met during their second year at Florida State University. Both biology majors, they had plenty of opportunities to get to know each other in class. After dating for three years, they separated after graduation, only to reunite when Julie took a job in Broward County, where Matt lived. During the party, which was held at a marina-area rooftop cafe, the couple took off for a walk on the beach. Once the two were alone, Matt asked her to be his wife. Both beach-lovers, Matt and Julie knew they wanted a wedding with a coastal theme, and chose the Hillsboro Club as their wedding site. “We immediately fell in love with its old-Florida feel,” said Julie.
