Joyful Elegance in the Hill Country
Alexandra (Alex) Cabrera (26 and a landman) and Ross Taylor (29 and a radiology resident) relied heavily on all things green for their wedding decor. "Our color palette was timeless, neutral and earthy," Alex says. Exhibit A: the pair's stationery. "The suite felt like fall," Alex says. "I knew I wanted greenery and have always loved olive branches." That feature proved to be a constant addition for the couple, finishing everything form the bridesmaids' bouquets to the cake.
Alex and Ross opted out of a first look, saving the moment for her walk down the aisle, but chose to touch instead. "It was a very special moment for us," she says. The couple got the party started with a fun display made up of champagne glass escort cards. Arrangements of silver dollar eucalyptus, antique hydrangeas, olive branches, and Queen Anne's lace towered over white guest tables.
Greenery was the name of the game for the pair's party, with olive branches and eucalyptus trailing over the tables and hanging from the ceiling. The newlyweds cut into a dessert made of two flavors: lemon and raspberry with raspberry compote and wild berry with berry cream cheese buttercream. Two flower girls in classic white dresses and a ring bearer in a dapper tux proceeded Alex and Ross down the aisle.
