Jillian had a crush on Kurt from the moment she saw him -- freshman year of high school. The couple met at age 14 and, soon after, had their first date at an Allman Brothers concert (his mom drove). Her anxiety quickly turned to excitement when, on an apartment-hunting trip, Kurt got down on one knee and proposed. Jillian barely managed to say yes through shrieks of excitement. After planning their wedding from half-way across the country, they were married in their home state in a waterfront ceremony. A seat was reserved in honor of Jillian's late grandmother, who passed away soon after the engagement. Afterward, guests danced the night away at the preppy-nautical themed reception, which the couple personalized with handmade centerpieces and jars of grandma's specialty cookies.
