Jill Andrews Strapless Ruffled Gown

“I wanted a unique, whimsical dress to go with the Alice in Wonderland theme and I looked at all types of dresses online but I just couldn't find one that had everything,” says Kelly. The couple’s planner then referred her to designer Jill Andrews and after just one consultation, she came up with the ultimate whimsical gown. “It’s a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind gown with a sweetheart neckline and a double satin bodice with a heart motif, cascading crystal beading and snowflake lace panels on the sides and back,” says Kelly. But the dress’s standout feature was the skirt, which featured tiers upon tiers of ruffled organza, Alencon lace, gilded Venice lace, raw-edged satin, each of which was alternated with ombre hand-dipped ostrich hurl that gradually changed from white to cerulean blue. “The dress is convertible, detaching just above the knee, which was great for dancing at the reception,” says Kelly.
