In 2000, Jeri Anne and Nicholas were interning at a marketing and public relations firm in New York City. “We didn’t like each other at first,” says Jeri Anne. They kept in touch, though, and two years later they started dating. A Paris proposal soon followed. Because Jeri Anne and Nicholas were planning from afar, they enlisted the help of their families. “We, as a family, took meetings with all of the involved parties and planned away,” says Jeri Anne, adding that her mother was great with the “pretty parts” like flowers and linens.
