Jennifer & Matthew in Phoenix, MD

In an attempt to help his good friend survive a blind date, Matthew, a junior in high school at the time, accompanied him to a dance at a local high school. He expected to have fun, but he definitely didn't know that he'd get an even better reward for being a good friend -- a new girlfriend. That was the night he met Jennifer, a student at the all-girls, private high school where the dance took place. She was dateless that night and when she realized he was alone too, she went over and introduced herself. They ended up hanging out and talking for the rest of night. From then on they became good friends, and eventually fell for each other. The Bride Jennifer Walter, 23, graphic designer The Groom Matthew Hall, 23, network administrator The Date May 24 On their five-year anniversary Matthew took Jennifer out to dinner to celebrate and then suggested they go for a walk. He guided her to a nearby bench and handed her a little bag with a gold box inside. In the box was a note that said, I owe you and a picture of a diamond ring. Confused, she turned around to find him on one knee with a ring.
