Jennifer & Jason: A Ballroom Wedding in Columbus, OH

Jennifer and Jason's evening reception took place in The Grand Hartman Ballroom, a beautifully restored 19th-century ballroom. She was vacationing in New Orleans in 2002 when she and her girlfriends happened into a bar where she locked eyes with Jason.“Without a second thought, I worked my way over to where he was,” Jennifer says. As the two chatted, they discovered they were both from Ohio and that Jason knew Jennifer’s brother through work. “What began as a fun weekend getaway soon became one of the most romantic cities I’d ever visited,” she says. They began a long-distance relationship (he lived in Columbus, she in Atlanta) that lasted for 18 months before Jennifer moved back home to Ohio. A little more than two years later, Jason whisked her away for a surprise weekend in the city where they first met, and he proposed.
