While on the dance floor during one particular evening, she spotted Ivan Menjak standing on the sidelines. He really looked like he wanted to dance, so I went over and asked him to join me and my friend, she recalls. Her plan was to fix him up with her friend, but by the end of the night, she and Ivan were lost in conversation. They learned that they'd both been coming to the bar for several years and were surprised that their paths had never crossed. The following weekend, Ivan took her to a Renaissance festival and their relationship took off on the right foot. During a vacation to Key West a year and a half later, Ivan popped the question on a sunset sail. The sun was sinking and the sky was beautiful, says Jennifer. He took me by surprise, and I started laughing and crying. Everyone on the boat clapped and cheered.
