Jenni and Isaac first met eight years ago at their church's youth group. Their first real date was at ZooLights -- the Oregon Zoo’s annual Christmas-lights show. So every year, Jenni and Isaac used to return on their anniversary. On their fifth anniversary, they were at the zoo when they asked another couple to take a photo of them. When the guy tried to hand the camera back, Isaac asked him to take one more photo, Jenni says, remembering that that was when he got down on one knee and took out the ring box. Isaac's parents suggested they use the hill near his grandparents' cabin at Winema Beach. The site was especially important to us because Isaac’s grandmother passed away a few months before our wedding, and knowing that we were marrying right by one of her homes was very special, Jenni says. We believe her gift to us was the beautiful, sunny day, which is rare on the Oregon coast. With extra help from the mother of the bride and from one of the groom's cousins, their elegant beach celebration came together beautifully.
