More than 600 guests gathered under a 4,000 square foot transparent tent that sparkled with hundreds of white lights. Accents like red lanterns, Chinese umbrellas, black satin tablecloths, and mahogany chairs gave the area a chic urban look.

“In reality all the dresses end up in a yard sale or Goodwill,” Ivy says, so she let her bridesmaids vote on a dress they wanted -- and thought they could wear again. Their choice was a knee-length charcoal gray silk shantung dress. She and the bridesmaids carried bright handpicked orchids from Hawaii that were embellished with crystals.
