The three-tier ivory wedding cake had a textured buttercream surface, which was decorated with pink roses on the top and sides of the cake. Homemade ice cream sandwiches were also served for dessert at the reception. "We went with the concept of small plates, so our guests could try a variety of things and still have room for cake from one of our favorite local bakeries," Ashley says. "Also, we had homemade ice cream sandwiches from one of our favorite ice cream shops in Portland, called Ruby Jewel."
