Four years after they crossed paths during an intensive Madarin-language immersion program in Beijing, China, Simin and Nicholas reconnected at a get-together organized by common friends at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. The pair hit it off immediately, and it was only a few months before they began dating. “There is no single word to describe how this first meeting felt. We just fit, and I knew it immediately,” Simin says.
