Romantic Shades of Blue Set the Tone at This Intimate Wedding at Hotel Bennett in Charleston, South Carolina

Amy and Bob envisioned a wedding that felt like an elegant dinner party, with close friends and family members gathered around one long table. “We wanted it to feel intimate, personal and beautiful, honoring the people who have carried us to this point,” Amy says.

The couple set the 46-seat table with textured linens, blue velvet chairs, gold flatware and brass vessels holding roses, orchids, ranunculus, tulips and ivy. The design took inspiration from Amy’s blue-and-white china collection and her love of art and France. The blue, white, blush and green palette also picked up on the room’s paintings and blue ceiling.

Amy and Bob welcomed toasts during dinner. Guests dined on strip steak, turmeric-roasted cauliflower and fried Brussels sprouts. Fondant-coated sugar cookies depicted the couple’s wedding crest and their dog, Annie. The couple served Moscow mules as a nod to Bob’s frequent business trips to Russia.
