Influencer Asia Sullivan's Beautiful Boho Wedding at Forme LA in Los Angeles, California

Asia Sullivan, PA-C, MPH (a physician's assistant and social media influencer) and Tierra Andrews (a product designer) tied the knot with a beautiful boho wedding at Forme LA in Los Angeles, California. Because of the pandemic, Asia and Tierra, who've been together since high school, had a long engagement leading up to their April 2022 nuptials. For their long-awaited day, the couple wanted a modern, bohemian, romantic vibe with a soft, neutral color palette made up of earth tones.

Finding a strong vendor team was key for Asia and Tierra as they sought to bring their dream California wedding to life. "We hired a wedding planner right away but were very involved with the process, particularly in choosing our vendors," shares the couple. "As an interracial lesbian couple, it was important to us to work with companies that were LGBTQ+ and/or POC-owned whenever we could! Even with a wedding planner the logistics that go into planning a wedding are enough to stress anyone out. We learned from The Knot that there will be more weddings in the United States in 2022 than any other year since 1984! Finding vendors was a mad dash. Luckily this process brought together an amazing group for us to partner with."

While the couple partnered with experience pros to bring their wedding day to life, it was paramount to Asia and Tierra that their wedding feel personalized and that they be intimately involved in the creation of the celebration.  "Tierra is a graphic designer and artist at heart so she was in charge of all the stationery," says Asia. "She used The Knot Invitations to customize an entire suite from save the dates, official invitations, RSVPs and info cards, menu cards, and thank you cards. She chose the same earthy, neutral tones we will be using in the wedding to create a cohesive, beautiful look that was totally us!"

The couple's boho wedding invitation suite set the tone for the rest of their day and inspired much of the rest of the design direction. For flowers, Asia and Tierra opted for a mix of fresh blooms as well as rented silk flowers to extend their budget. The fresh arrangements included "pampas grass, dried palm leaves, white, tan, and blush roses, hydrangeas, and plenty of white orchids. The while orchids were a nod to Asia’s grandmother who raised and loved them," explains Tierra. To complement the floral arrangements, the couple brought in clear ghost chairs, wood candlesticks, gauzy table runners and bronze flatware, beautifully reinforcing their romantic-meets-bohemian aesthetic.

While the couple's wedding was visually stunning, much of the beauty also came from the rich meaning and personalization the dup threaded into the nuptials. Notably, Tierra's wedding vows "brought the tears. I don't think there was a single dry eye in the house," recalls Asia. "How do you describe the sound of someone’s soul? Or the feeling of hearing your own for the very first time," asked Tierra in her vows. "I guess it’s true what they say when you know you know. Since you came into my life, I’ve yet to find the edges of my heart and I hope I never do." Looking back on the ceremony, Asia recalls feeling like "the audience had completely vanished. Tierra’s vows were so heartfelt and so beautiful, she was all I could focus on. I felt so much joy and pride in that moment. No joke, almost every single wedding guest cried at her vows. I actually didn’t cry because I was so full of happiness and excitement! "
