Lamira (Henley) met Shaun just two weeks after relocating to Singapore, where Shaun (who’s from England) had been working for the past year. With her family’s help he planned a proposal in Highlands, North Carolina, where her family spends their summers. There was just one catch: The ring he had ordered wouldn’t be ready in time. Undeterred, Shaun spotted a ring in the window of a shop in town and snuck off to buy it. That evening, Shaun suggested he and Henley get some air while they attended a charity event at her family’s country club. Shaun actually wound up having to propose twice -- the first time Henley thought he was kidding! He presented her with the “real” ring a few days later, and Henley now wears that first ring as a wedding band.
