Greenery Filled Every Part of This Sophisticated Boston Wedding at the Museum of Fine Arts

The city of Boston was the starting point for Laura Renfro (27 and an investor) and Andrew Veroneau’s (28 and a VP of corporate development) luxe urban wedding at the Museum of Fine Arts. “Having a Boston-centric wedding was essential to us,” Laura says. “We absolutely love the city since it’s where our families are from and where our entire relationship has occurred.” When it came to the ceremony, “choosing that church was one of the best decisions we made,” Laura says. Immediately following their Catholic church ceremony, the newlyweds and 300 guests traveled to the Museum of Fine Arts’s Koch Gallery for signature prosecco cocktails paired with chicken and waffles. Dinner followed in the nearby Shapiro Family Courtyard. “I had always dreamt of a fairy-tale wedding, so I was searching for a venue reminiscent of a castle in the city,” Laura says. Towering centerpieces and a trellis wall treatment blended seamlessly with the reception’s greenhouse aesthetic. Laura and Andrew cut into a cake with three flavors: chocolate peanut butter, red velvet and classic white. Guests went home with mini whoopie pies.

As for the day's fashion, almost immediately after selecting a ballgown, Laura realized her need for a dress she could dance in. “My mom suggested I look for a second dress,” she says. Laura found just the one: a fitted lace gown lined with buttons up the back. Andrew sported a second look too, swapping his black tuxedo for an off-white jacket postceremony. “The crowd went crazy for the switch,” Laura says. “It was fun to both come out in a second outfit.” And when it came to shows, “I needed my Carrie Bradshaw moment!” Laura says of her classic blue Manolo Blahniks.
